My first wire wrap attempt...
OK...So, tonight I took the plunge - I asked my husband, David, to instruct me on how to wire wrap a stone. All I had was half hard 20ga so I had a bit of trouble with the bail but I think once the soft square I ordered comes in that will no longer be an issue! I think for a first attempt it turned out quite nicely! What a great teacher he is!
The stone is 25mm x 35mm Red Fossil Coral that I picked up at a shop in Winter Haven, FL when my mom, sister and I went to Orlando last month. I wrapped it in Sterling Silver.

You must be kidding! First attempt? So where will you go from here? I love it!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad your comments are working now so that I can tell you how awesome this wrap is! I too, can't believe it's your first cab wrap, and you've already made it your own with those swirlies (yes that is the technical term, lol). Great work Kat:)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! Swirlies - I like it! haha
ReplyDeleteYes, it was my first attempt...I've been watching from afar...watching and waiting till i felt like I might have the courage to try it myself. LOL
Wow....First one. You do such BEAUTIFUL work. I've been watching and enjoying the work you all do in the WWJGallery from afar too, but it takes talent to design like you do. You are truly blessed !
ReplyDeleteWow...Thanks, Helen!
ReplyDeleteI don't feel I'm any more gifted than the next person...but I certainly do count myself BLESSED!
I truly appreciate your kind words!
I hope to see you posting a blog so I can follow and cheer you on!
Thanks again!
